İstanbul Üniv. Onkoloji Enstitüsü Thirty seven patients with metastatic or locally advanced inoperable gastric cancer who at least received 2 courses of combination chemotherapy were retrospectively analysed. The objective response was 43.2 percent. No complete response was achieved. The responses were as partial remission in 21.6 percent and stabilisation of the disease in 21.6 percent. The objective response duration was median 6 months. In the retrospective study the survival knowledge was insufficient. Twenty five patients treated with 5 Fluouracil, Adriamycin and Mitomycin C(FAM) combination partial remission was achieved in 8 (% 32) patients and the disease was stabilised in 5 (%20) patients. In 12patients treated with combination not containing Adriamycin, disease could only be stabilesed in 3 patients but there was even no partial remission. FAM combination is still the most effective treatment in advanced gastric cancer. Keywords :
