Ege Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi, Medikal Onkoloji BD, İzmir Recently, the coincidence of hematological malignancies with other solid organ malignancies, such as colorectal carcinoma, has been described as an interesting phenomenon. Mutations in proto-oncogenes and some defects in tumor supressor genes are the suspected underlying mechanisms of this coincidence. The inactivation of "deleted in colorectal carcinoma" gene is detected in many patients with colorectal carcinoma and hematological malignancies. The time period between the diagnosis of each malignancy is very short. We have presented the case who was diagnosed as acute myeloblastic leukemia during the follow-up period of sigmoid adenocarcinoma. Keywords : colorectal cancer, acute myeloblastic leukemia
