UNUSUALLY LOCALIZATION OF ONCOCYTIC CARCINOMA: CASE REPORT

Gata Radyasyon Onkolojisi Anabilim Dalı Oncoytic carcinoma is a rare malignancy. Especially; nasopharyngeal oncocytic carcinoma has not been reported in the medical literature yet. Our case is a 27 years-old male treated by nasopharyngeal surgery before. He registered to our clinic with a recurrent tumor in the nasopharynx region, which is histologically proven to be oncoytic carcinoma. The patient had also cervical lymph node metastasis bilaterally, with the maximum dimensions of 1-2 cm.

He was retreated with external beam radiotherapy with a prescribed dose of 50 Gy. Total dose was delivered to nasopharynx and bilateral upper cervical region. Three months after the completion of treatment, a complete regression in the nasopharyngeal tumor was achieved and cervical lymphadenopathys totaly disappeared.
