From 1975 to 1985, 126 consecutive patients with malignant tumors of maxillary sinus were admitted to Oncology Institute of Istanbul University. The clinical parameters of 126 patients have been studied retrospectively and the results of therapy of 92 patients who completed treatment have been presented. Fiftythree patients received combined treatment (Maxillectomy and radiotherapy) modality and thirtynine patients received radiotherapy alone. Patients who received radiotherapy alone were all had advanced tumors. Doses of radiation were ranged from 45 Gy/4.5 weeks to 70 Gy/7 weeks Thirty nine of ninety two patients who compleated treatment have found lost during follow-up and these thirtynine patients accounted as dead after the date of last control. Five year absolute survival rate is 25%for patients who had combined modality therapy and 18 % for patients who received radiotherapy alone.
