AN OPTIMAL POSITION APPLICATION FOR THE MONITORIZATION OF RECTAL DOSE AT THE RECTAL REFERENCE POINT DURING THE INTRACAVITARY IRRADIATION OF CERVIX AND ENDOMETRIUM CANCER PATIENTS

Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Radyasyon Onkolojisi Anabilim Dalı In this study, a device which was developed to obtain an optimal position application for the monitorization of rectal dose at the rectal reference point during the intracavitary irradiation of cervix and endometrium cancer patients is used. In the series of 11 patients, the differences between the calculations, with and without this device were compared. The average difference was found as 17.84% (2.7%-35%).
