Hacettepe Üniversitesi, İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi, Sosyal Hizmet Bölümü For cancer patients and their caregivers in reaching the period of dying in peace and dignity, the choice of place of death is important in developing the quality of life during dying period and even the quality of dying. In this review, the choices of place of death of cancer patients and the factors that effect these choices is discussed. It is expected that this study will make a contribution to health policy makers and practitoners in the process of developing new and important models like hospice and home care and to palliative care team members and care givers who prepare the care plan to improve the quality of life of the patients.
