İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları Anabilim Dalı, İstanbul Wilm's tumor is the most common renal tumor of childhood. In these patients ascites occur as a result of mass effect of the tumor or hepatic metastasis. Ascites may be a reflection of damage to the lymphatic drainage after operation. Actinomycin D, one of the chemotheropatic agents, can lead to severe hepatotoxicity, such as hepatopathy-thrombocytopenia syndrome or venoocclusive disease.

Here, we report 2 childhood cases with Wilm's tumor receiving chemotherapy in which ascites occured after Actinomycin D and vincristine administration with no evidence of hyperbiluribinemia or severe elevation of transaminases. Keywords : Wilm's tumor, ascites, hepatotoxicity
