Hacettepe Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Radyasyon Onkolojisi Anabilim Dalı, Ankara
Wilms' Tumor rarely occurs during adult life. We reported here, 4 well-documented Wilms' Tumor in adults and discussed recent therapeutic approaches. There were two male and 2 female patients and their ages were 18, 24, 34, 37 years old. According to NWTS - 3 staging system, they were in stage II, II, III, IV (brain metastases). One stage II and stage III patient had anaplastic histopathology. A stage III patient was considered to be inoperable and only biopsy was performed, while others underwent nephrectomy. All patients received radiotherapy to primary tumor locations, additionally one patient was irradiated for brain metastases. All patients but one also received chemotherapy. One stage II patient is still alive with no evidence of disease, while other is lost to follow-up during 114th month with no evidence of disease. Other patients with stage III and IV disease died 4 and 30 months after the diagnosis respectively.
