Ninety out of hundred and twenty-eight Hodkin's disease cases, who were irradiated and followed regularly between the years 1973 and 1978 in the radiotherapy dept. of 1st Medical faculty, were retrospectively analysed according to coco-repional recurrence rates in concern with treatment techniques, stages and histopathology. Clinical staging was predominant in 82% of the cases and the staging was as follows; 9 % St.I (8/90), 67% St.II (60/90) and 23 % St.III (21/90). Majority of the cases had extended field irradiation which was applied as mantle and/or inverted Y (78%). There were 18.8% in-field (17/90) and 20% out-field (18/90) recurrence. The 13% in-field ant 17% out-field recurrences were found in St.II cases so we beleived that there is a high percentage of understaging in St.II cases. The recurrence rates were especially increased in the cases where involved field (local) or only one extended field were used whereas there were no recurrences in M/STN irradiation. Besides the staqe of the disease, the mediastinal disease, the number of the disease sites, the size of the mass and the total dose are the factors which effect the rewrences rates.
